These terms govern your use of Popcorn Security, its website, account, subscriptions, and licensed products. The agreement is between you and the entity identified as the seller during checkout. We refer to that entity as Popcorn Security, “we”, “us”, or “our”.
By completing checkout, creating an account, or using a product, you accept these terms. If mandatory consumer law where you live gives you stronger rights, those rights continue to apply.
Popcorn Security sells and manages personal-use licenses for antivirus, VPN, ad blocking, identity monitoring, cloud backup, and password-management products. Depending on your plan, it may also include small browser-based privacy tools.
Specialist applications run the protection on your devices. Popcorn manages the purchase, account, license access, renewal information, and first-line support. We identify the relevant software provider and any additional provider terms before you install or activate its application.
You must be at least 18 years old, legally able to enter a contract, and provide accurate account and billing information. Plans are for personal or household use unless checkout expressly states otherwise.
The product, billing period, device or storage allowance, taxes, total price, seller, and renewal terms shown during checkout form part of this agreement. Review them before confirming the purchase.
A purchase is complete when payment is accepted and we send an order confirmation. If a technical or pricing error prevents fulfilment, we may cancel the order and return the amount paid.
A recurring subscription renews automatically for the period shown at checkout until you cancel it. We email you before each renewal and show the renewal date in your account.
The subscription renews at the same base price as its first term. A different amount may apply only if you actively choose another plan, change an allowance, or a tax or mandatory government charge changes.
You authorize the payment provider presented at checkout to charge the selected method for the initial purchase and each disclosed renewal. The payment provider’s terms and privacy notice also apply to its processing.
If payment fails, we may retry it, ask you to update the payment method, or suspend access after reasonable notice. We do not charge undisclosed add-ons.
You can cancel from your account without contacting support. The cancellation flow is designed to take no more than two confirmation actions. You may also email billing@popcornsecurity.com.
Cancelling stops the next renewal. Access normally continues until the end of the period already paid for. Cancellation does not itself create a refund; see our Refund Policy.
A plan gives you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the included products for the term and allowance purchased. Do not publish, resell, share, or attempt to regenerate a license outside the supported account flow.
Some products require a separate specialist application and may carry additional end-user terms. Availability can depend on that provider’s systems, supported platforms, and reasonable product changes.
Keep your sign-in details confidential and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized use. You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless the activity results from our failure to use reasonable security.
You must not:
- use the service unlawfully or to harm another person;
- circumvent plan, device, storage, or technical limits;
- interfere with service security or availability;
- reverse engineer software except where law expressly permits;
- use fraudulent payment or identity information.
No antivirus, VPN, identity monitor, backup, password manager, or other security product can guarantee perfect protection, anonymity, uninterrupted availability, or recovery from every incident.
Keep devices and applications updated, use multi-factor authentication where available, and maintain appropriate independent copies of important data.
Popcorn’s website, branding, documentation, and in-house tools are owned by or licensed to us. Specialist applications remain owned by their respective providers. These terms transfer no ownership to you.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability or consumer remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded. We remain responsible for direct losses that are a reasonably foreseeable result of our breach.
To the extent law permits, we are not responsible for indirect or unforeseeable losses, business losses from a consumer plan, or loss caused by misuse, unsupported configurations, or a third-party service outside our reasonable control.
We may update these terms for legal, security, or service changes. Material changes take effect after reasonable advance notice unless immediate action is required by law or to address a security risk.
Mandatory law and courts available to you as a consumer are not displaced. Any additional governing law and seller jurisdiction are identified during checkout once the seller is confirmed.
